Shelley Coffman is a LPC-candidate with 28 years of experience working with youth and teens as an educator. She has 15 years of experience as a school counselor after receiving her Master’s degree from East Central University. Her education, training and life experiences working with youth, provide a foundation for working with clients with a wide variety of concerns. Shelley is experienced working with youth who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or depressed and is focused on helping client’s work through these challenges.
In addition, Shelley has experience working with students with ADHD and other academic struggles. She finds a team approach with families is best to provide support and help clients find ways to improve functioning and decrease distress. Shelley utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and believes that the collaboration between a client and counselor is a vital piece of effective therapy.
