Tish is a Licensed Professional Counselor that graduated with her Master’s in Psychological Services from East Central University. Professional memberships include the Association of Play Therapists (APT) and American Counseling Association (ACA). She has worked in both private practice and group counseling centers for over 9 years. She conducted group and individual counseling at a primarily Substance Abuse agency for over 5 years and has been with Hope Revealed for over 9 years.
Tish offers family and individual therapy, including work with children, adolescents and adults of all ages. She has over 5 years of experience and also enjoys working with adolescents that are involved in the legal system. Her approach is best described as relational in focus, integrating theories that explore skill building, interpersonal relationships, as well as past traumas, and the impact these things have on current functioning in the different areas of people’s lives. She is passionate about therapy, as well as in the hopes of creating an environment for deep healing in people’s lives and relationships.
Areas of interest include individual and family therapy, helping clients recover from various issues such as: trauma, ADHD, ODD, PTSD, depression and anxiety.
Her approach is mainly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy and will incorporate Christian counseling when initiated by the client. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy, Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (ACRA), and Trauma Focused-CBT and uses these when suitable for the client.
